Cllr vs Bland AI
Short answer: Bland AI is voice infrastructure: a per-minute platform for building and running phone agents. Cllr AI is a business automation platform. It connects to your CRM, billing, support and operations systems, starts a workflow when an event occurs, and runs it end to end across voice, WhatsApp, SMS and email, writing every outcome back to your system of record. Bland answers how a call happens. Cllr answers what work needs doing, when, and how it is finished.
They are not really substitutes. A team that picks Bland still has to decide who to contact, why, and what happens after the call ends.

What Bland AI is genuinely good at
Bland is a serious voice platform and it would be dishonest to pretend otherwise. Their published material claims 400ms latency against a 1,240ms industry average, support for 40+ languages with real-time translation, and a self-hosted infrastructure option. They hold SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, GDPR and PCI DSS v4.0 certifications, and offer BAAs and DPAs, which matters if you are in healthcare or financial services and your security review has teeth.
If what you need is a programmable voice agent with low latency and a clean compliance story, Bland is a strong choice. Their per-minute model is unusually legible: one rate covers the language model, speech-to-text, text-to-speech and telephony, with no per-token or per-feature surcharges.
Where the two differ
Bland starts when you call the API. Cllr starts when something happens in your business.
With voice infrastructure, something upstream has to decide that a given customer should be contacted today, about a particular matter, on a particular channel. That decision is usually a batch job, a CSV or a person. It is also where most of the value sits: a perfect call to the wrong list achieves nothing.
Cllr reads the upstream systems directly: payments and billing, subscriptions, CRM, support desk, product usage and the data warehouse. A failed charge, a new ticket, a stalled onboarding or an expiring plan becomes an event, and the workflow that owns it starts in under 1 second.
One call versus a finished piece of work. A voice platform's job ends when the call ends. Most business outcomes do not resolve on the first contact. Cllr treats a non-answer as information: it can move to WhatsApp, send a payment or verification link, escalate to a person, update the CRM and close the case, with every step logged for audit.
When to choose which
Choose Bland AI if you are building a voice product yourself, you need self-hosted or per-minute-priced telephony, or your use case genuinely is a single call: appointment reminders, IVR replacement, call deflection.
Choose Cllr if you want operational work run end to end: revenue recovery, customer support, onboarding, order operations and similar workflows that span several systems and channels and need a recorded result.
Run both if you have already standardised on Bland for telephony. Voice is one of Cllr's channels, and the platform that decides what the telephony is used for, and finishes the work around it, is the part neither of you wants to rebuild.
What Cllr is not
Cllr is not a general-purpose voice API. If you want to build your own conversational agent from primitives, dial arbitrary numbers on demand, or self-host telephony, Bland is the better fit and we will say so on a call.
